Junior lightweight prospect Joksan Hernandez had an easier time than expected with late-sub Ira Terry in the main event of a Fox Sports en Espanol-televised card in Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday.

Hernandez (21-2, 14 KOs) stopped Terry (24-4, 14 KOs) right hand in the first round after softening up the slick boxer with left hooks to the body. Terry rolled into a neutral corner after getting clipped by Hernandez's right hand. He got up on one knee but was counted out at 2:32 of the round.

In the co-featured bout of the Top Rank-promoted card two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux, now a 29-year-old pro junior featherweight prospect, stopped veteran Jose Angel Beranza after six rounds.

Rigondeaux (6-0, 5 KOs), who easily side-stepped the Mexican fighter's forward advances and counter-punched at will, scored two knockdowns in the fourth round before his heavy hands forced Beranza's corner to halt the bout in the opening seconds of the seventh.

Beranza was game throughout the one-sided fight but his face was a battered mess after six rounds with the talented Cuban southpaw.
