Former junior middleweight titleholder Sergio Mora returns to action on July 23 in the main event of a Telefutura-televised card from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California.

Mora (22-1-1, 6 KOs) will face former title challenger Juan Carlos Candelo in the 10-round featured bout of the “S├│lo Boxeo Tecate” telecast.

Mora is coming off an impressive seventh-round stoppage of Calvin Green on the Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones Jr. undercard on April 3. July 23 will be the East Los Angeles native's second appearance on Telefutura. Mora's first “Solo Boxeo” appearance was a sixth-round TKO of Rito Ruvalcaba in January of 2008.

Candelo (30-10-4, 20 KOs) is a former NABF junior middleweight titleholder who has been in with all of the top 154 pounders of the past decade, including Winky Wright, Angel Hernandez, Michael Lerman, Marco Antonio Rubio and Kassim Ouma.

The rangy Colombian is currently sporting a three-fight winning streak that he plans on lifting to four this July.

The July 23 Telefutura telecast will begin at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
