Venezuela's Miguel Acosta (27-3-2, 21 knockouts) stopped lightweight beltholder Paulus Moses (25-1, 17 KOs) the sixth round of their title bout in Moses’ native Windhoek, Namibia on Saturday.

The victory garnered Acosta, who beat Urbano Antillon for an “interim” belt last year, full title recognition by the sanctioning organization.

The victory over Moses was Acosta's third over an undefeated fighter in pursuit of the 135-pound belt. The 32-year-old veteran, THE RING's No. 7-rated lightweight, outpointed Anges Adjaho (23-0 at the time) in a title-elimination bout in October of 2007. He stopped Antillon (26-0) in the ninth round last July to win the interim title. And then upset Moses (25-0), THE RING's No. 6-rated lightweight, in the Namibian's hometown.
