Andreas Kotelnik’s WBA 140-pound title defense against Amir Khan, originally scheduled to take place in London on June 27, has been postponed to July 18 and will now take place at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Kotelnik (31-2-1, 13 knockouts), THE RING's No. 4 junior welterweight contender, suffered a minor injury and tooth infection which prevented him from training properly for the young but dangerous Khan (20-1, 15 KOs), THE RING's No. 10-rated lightweight.

London’s O2 Arena, where the fight was to take place, was not available on July 18 (it will host a Michael Jackson concert on that date). The new site, Manchester's MEN Arena, is where Khan scored his biggest victory to date, a one-sided tech. decision over future hall of famer Marco Antonio Barrera in March.
