It's official. Middleweight prospect Daniel Jacobs has been added to the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton undercard Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Jacobs, who is coming off a second-round knockout of Jose Varela just this past Friday, will be featured in the third of four pay-per-view bouts against Chicago-based fringe contender Mike Walker.

Jacobs (15-0, 14 knockouts) quickly accepted the opportunity to fight on back-to-back weekends when Walker's original opponent, junior middleweight contender James Kirkland, was forced to withdraw after he was arrested on a gun charge.

“I'm very excited that I have the opportunity to fight again this week,” Jacobs said. “I'm in shape and coming off a big knockout win, so I'm ready for the fight with Walker. It's an honor for me to get this type of exposure on the undercard of the year's biggest card. I promise that no one will be disappointed with my performance on May 2.”

Walker (19-1-2, 12 KOs) returns to the ring after defeating two-time world title challenger Antwun Echols in an eight-round bout last October.
