Out of sight, out of ratings.

Sergei Dzinziruk, the No. 3-rated junior middleweight as of last week, is the latest elite fighter to drop out of THE RING ratings because of inactivity. The unbeaten Ukrainian hasn’t fought since he outpointed Joel Julio to retain his alphabet title on Nov. 1 of last year.

Dzinziruk reportedly was pursuing a fight with Paul Williams before Williams decided to fight Sergio Martinez.

Fighters generally are dropped from the ratings if they haven’t fought for more than a year.

“If Dzinziruk returns to the 154-pound class, his past work in the division will be considered when determining a ranking,” said Nigel Collins, Editor-in-Chief of THE RING magazine.

As a result of Dzinziruk’s departure, all 154-pounders rated No. 4 or below last week move up one spot and Zaurbek Baysangurov debuts at No. 10.

In other divisions:

JUNIOR LIGHTWEIGHTS: Even though No. 1 contender Humberto Soto beat Jesus Chavez at 137 pounds and is expected to campaign as a lightweight, he retains his 130-pound rating as he has not yet officially given up his super featherweight title.

BANTAMWEIGHTS: Neomar Cermeno (No. 7 last week) advances to No. 6 following his victory over Alejandro Valdez. Silence Mabuza (No. 6 last week) slips to No. 7 to accommodate Cermeno’s promotion.

JUNIOR FLYWEIGHTS: Johnriel Casimero enters at No. 7 on the strength of his TKO of Cesar Canchila, who falls from No. 6 to No. 10. Juan Carlos Reveco moves up from No. 8 to No. 6, thanks to his KO of Ronald Barrera. Omar Nino slips from No. 7 to No. 8 in the realignment, while Yasutaka Kuroki (No. 10) last week) departs.
