Lightweight Mason Menard will face Bahodir Mamadjonov on Aug. 19, it was officially announced Tuesday afternoon.

The 10-round bout will take place at Rhinos Stadium in Rochester, New York. Menard-Mamadjonov will precede the main event bout between heavyweights Jarrell Miller and Fred Kassi.

Both fights will be part of a four-bout “ShoBox: The New Generation” broadcast that will air on Showtime, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Menard (31-1, 23 knockouts) scored a spectacular one-punch knockout win over Eudy Bernardo in his last bout on April 15.

After losing his third pro fight, Menard has reeled off 29 consecutive victories.

Mamadjonov (19-2, 11 KOs) has won his last two fights since his eighth round stoppageĀ defeat at the hands of Richard Commey last May.

Originally from Uzbekistan, Mamadjonov’s other notable fights are a TKO victory over Angelo Santana and a close split decision loss to Darleys Perez.

Promoter Greg Cohen told RingTV that Menard was appearing on the Aug. 19 card one way or another.

“I had four fighters turn the fight down against Menard,” Cohen told RingTV. “Mason was going to fight in Rochester, whether it was televised or not.”
