INGLEWOOD, California — Gennady Golovkin weighed in at 159 pounds for his WBA/IBF middleweight title defense against Dominic Wade, who weighed 159.6, on Friday.

Golovkin (34-0, 31 knockouts), THE RING’s No. 1-rated middleweight from Kazakhstan (now living in Santa Monica), faces Wade (18-0, 14 KOs), of Washington, D.C., on Saturday at The Forum (where Friday’s weigh-in took place). The bout is an HBO-televised main event presented by K2 Promotions in association with TGB Promotions, Teiken Boxing and PR Best Promotions.

THE RING/WBC flyweight champ Roman Gonzalez weighed in at 111.4 pounds for his 112-pound title defense against Puerto Rican Olympian and RING-rated McWilliams Arroyo, who weighed 111.6, for their HBO World Championship Boxing co-main event.

There was some speculation that Gonzalez (44-0, 38 KOs) was struggling to make the flyweight limit (due to a brief appearance at Wednesday’s media workout and his spitting into a cup during a media roundtable interview prior to yesterday’s final press conference), but the reigning pound-for-pound king from Nicaragua appeared to make weight without draining himself.

Junior lightweight prospect Pedro Duran, from nearby Paramount, California, weighed in at 132 pounds for his scheduled eight rounder against Tijuana’s Pedro Lopez, who weighed 131.2.

Lightweight prospect Ryan Martin weighed in at 136.4 pounds for his scheduled six-round bout against Rosberg Montoya, who weighed 138.2.

Kenia Enriquez weighed 107.6 pounds for her women’s light flyweight bout against Amaris Quintana, who weighed 107.8, scheduled for eight rounds.

Sienesa Estrada weighed 109.6 pounds for her women’s super flyweight (111-pound weight limit) bout against Selene Lopez, who weighed 109.8, scheduled for six rounds in the opening bout of the K2 Promotions card.
