Denis Lebedev will defend his WBA cruiserweight title against Lateef Kayode on Nov. 4, manager Vadim Kornilov confirmed to RingTV.
According to Kornilov, the 12 round bout will take place at the Basket-Hall Arena in Kazan, Russia.
In his last bout on Apr. 10, Lebedev (27-2, 20 KOs) survived a fourth round knockdown to win a 12 round unanimous decision over Youri Kalenga in Moscow, Russia.
Lebedev has won his last two bouts since being knocked out by Guillermo Jones in May of 2013, a bout Lebedev was ahead on the cards entering the 11th round.
The 36 year old Lebedev is ranked number two by Ring Magazine.
In his last bout on May 29, Kayode (21-0 1 NC/ND, 16 KOs) won a one-sided 10 round decision over Nick Kisner in Memphis, Tenn.
It was his first fight since Sept. 11, when he was stopped by Luis Ortiz in the first round. The result was changed to a no contest after Ortiz failed a post-fight drug test.
Also on the card, heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin will fight Mariusz Wach in a 12 round bout. Povetkin is the mandatory challenger to face WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
Cruiserweight contender Rakhim Chakhkiev, who is ranked number 10 by Ring Magazine, will also appear on the World Boxing Promotions card
