Standout featherweight prospect Julian Ramirez will headline the Aug. 6 edition of “LA Fight Club” at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, with the show to be broadcast on Fox Deportes.

Ramirez, who is the nephew of the late Genaro Hernandez – a two-time junior lightweight titleholder whose only losses were against Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. – was the subject of RingTV.com’s “New Faces” feature in 2013 when he was 7-0. Since then he has doubled his W’s and now sports a perfect 14-0 (8 knockouts) record.

The Los Angeles southpaw was last in the ring for his first 10-rounder, a unanimous decision over veteran Raul Hidalgo, also as part of “LA Fight Club.”

Ramirez, 22, will face off against Hugo Partido (21-5-2, 16 KOs), 29, whose last outing was a first-round TKO loss to undefeated Filipino contender Albert Pagara, which disrupted a four-fight winning streak since falling to Akifumi Shimoda in late 2012.

The Golden Boy Promotions card will also include, in the co-main 10-round event, local featherweight Abraham Lopez (18-0-1, 13 KOs), as well as junior featherweight Roy Tapia (10-0-2, 5 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Each will face an opponent to be determined.

Tickets are now on sale for the event via the GBP website or Facebook page.

Following the fights, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., fans will be invited to remain at the Belasco. As described in a GBP press release: “Los Angeles’ own DJ Ray of Big Boy’s Neighborhood will spin music during the fights and fans will be able to dance and mingle with the fighters when the venue converts into a night club, in a VIP experience not matched by any promoter in the industry.”

The live FOX Deportes broadcast will air on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT.
