Saturday’s third-round stoppage victory by Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24 knockouts) over welterweight rival Mike Alvarado (34-4 23 KOs) on HBO drew 1,252,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Rios-Alvarado III, which peaked at 1,316,000 viewers, was contested at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, representing the third meeting between the two after having split their prior bouts as junior welterweights. The third bout was the most watched of the trilogy.
