Hank Lundy misses weight, fight with Petr Petrov cancelled

Hank Lundy weighed 139 pounds, four over the lightweight division limit, forcing the cancellation of Friday’s scheduled bout against Petr Petrov that was to be televised on ESPN2 from the Turning Stone Resort Casino, according to a release from Banner Promotions.

Petrov (35-4-2, 17 knockouts) came in at 133.5 for Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs), whom he was to face on the undercard of the “Friday Night Fights” main event between middleweights Willie Monroe Jr. (18-1, 6 KOs) and Bryan Vera (23-8, 14 KOs), who weighed 160 each.

In the absence of Petrov-Lundy the opening bouts will be welterweights Greg Jackson (3-1-1, 1 KO) and Cornelius Whitlock (3-1-2, 2 KOs), who weighed 145.5 and 145, followed by middleweights Brandon Adams (14-1, 9 KOs) and Lekan Byfield (6-6-2, 1 KO), who weighed 160 and 158, according to the release.
