RING No. 4-rated light heavyweight Juergen Braehmer will pursue his 15th straight win against German countryman Robin Krasniqi on March 21 in Rostock, Germany, his promoter, Sauerland Event announced on Wednesday.

“Braehmer vs. Krasniqi is a fight that has been on the wish list of German boxing fans for some time,” said promoter Kalle Sauerland. “We’re delighted that on March 21, in cooperation with our new TV partner, SAT.1, we can fulfill this wish.”

Braehmer (45-2, 33 knockouts), 36, is coming off last month’s 55-second stoppage of Pawel Glazewski. Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs), 27, has won four straight since being unanimously decisioned by then-WBO beltholder Nathan Cleverly in April 2013 and is coming off last month’s unanimous decision over Dariusz Sek.

“This is a fight people have been talking about for a long time,” said Braehmer, a southpaw and a former WBO 175-pound titleholder. “Now the time has come to give the fans what they want. On March 21, I will defeat Krasniqi and retain my title.”

“My dream has always been to become world champion,” said Krasniqi, of Munich. “I missed my first opportunity two years ago but this time, I will take my chance and dethrone Braehmer.”
