“All Access: Mayweather vs. Maidana II” will precede an installment of “ShoBox: The New Generation.”

Narrated by acclaimed character actor Barry Pepper of “Saving Private Ryan” and “The Green Mile,” the first episode of the three-part series will revisit the aftermath of the victory by the 37-year-old Mayweather (46-0, 26 knockouts) over Maidana (35-4, 31 KOs).

The second episode will air on Sept. 6 and be followed by the tripleheader headlined by three-division titlist Adrien Broner in a junior welterweight bout against Emmanuel Taylor. The third episode will premiere on Sept. 10.

MAYWEATHER-MAIDANA CARD COMING TOGETHER?

Last week, IBF Championships Chairman Lindsey Tucker confirmed that talks appear to be ongoing for a match-up between IBF lightweight beltholder Miguel Vazquez (34-3, 13 KOs) and Mickey Bey (20-1-1, 10 KOs), each of whom is advised by Al Haymon.

THE RING’s number one-rated 135-pounder, Vazquez could face Bey on the Mayweather-Maidana card, according to FightHype.com, which also reported the potential for a junior middleweight bout between Alfredo Angulo and James De La Rosa as part of the event.

The notion of Angulo’s presence is in line with an earlier statement by Angulo’s manager, Michael Miller, who expressed interest in his fighter returning to the ring on the Mayweather-Maidana card during an interview with RingTV.com.

“It’s starting to look that way. It looks like Golden Boy has locked up De La Rosa as the opponent, and we’re working on finalizing our end of the contract,” said Michael Miller, Angulo’s manager. “It will probably finalized as early as today, or, at the earliest, tomorrow.”

FightHype.com also cited WBC junior featherweight titlist Leo Santa Cruz as a possibility. Santa Cruz is coming off consecutive unanimous decision victories over Cesar Seda in December and Cristian Mijares in March.

Santa Cruz also mentioned the potential for an appearance on Mayweather-Maidana during an interview with RingTV.com.
