Weigh-in result: Manny Pacquiao 145, Tim Bradley 145.5
Manny Pacquiao weighed a ripped and ready 145 pounds for his challenge to WBO welterweight titleholder Tim Bradley at Friday's weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the site of their Saturday rematch. Bradley weighed a shredded 145.5 pounds.
Bradley exuded confidence before and after stepping on the scale.
"(I've got) confidence in that I've been here before," Bradley (31-0, 12 knockouts) told HBO's Max Kellerman. "I'm ready for tomorrow. I gotta knock Pacquiao out. That's what I gotta do. I don't want it to go to the scorecards. He's ready. He's fit, he's fierce. The fans are in for one heck of a night."
"No. It's hard (to knock me out). He has to prove it in the ring tomorrow," said Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs), who lost their first bout by unpopular and controversial split decision in 2012.
Some have said that the Filipino hero took his foot off the gas pedal in the late rounds against Bradley, who has questioned Pacquiao's "killer instinct" coming into the HBO Pay Per View-televised rematch.
"This time around I think I have to finish my business before I'm friendly," Pacquiao said. "I have to do all that I can do in the ring."
