Tim Bradley said that he "pissed blood" after his brutal unanimous decision victory over Ruslan Provodnikov and that he was "calm, poised and didn't have nothing to prove" during his subsequent split-decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez.

Bradley (31-0, 12 knockouts) made his comments during HBO's telecast of 24/7: Pacquiao-Bradley II, in advance of his April 12 rematch with Manny Pacquiao. The episode was the first of three, with the others to be broadcast on April 5 at 11:30 p.m., ET/PT, and April 10 at 8:30 p.m., ET/PT.

After dethroning Pacquiao by split decision in June 2012, Bradley rose from a 12th-round knockdown to preserve his win over Provodnikov in March 2013, and then won a split decision over four-division titlewinner Marquez last October.

"In 20 years of boxing, man, I've never, ever pissed blood before. After that night, I pissed blood, man," said Bradley. "I gave the fans and I gave the fans and I gave the world and just everybody a piece of me, man. I left it all in that ring," said Bradley.

"I got a lot off of my chest that night. That's the reason why I came back in the Marquez fight calm, poised and didn't have nothing to prove, really…It was sweet. It was easy. I had fun that night, and I haven't had fun in a while. That night, I had a lot of fun."

Pacquiao lost his next bout after Bradley in December 2012 by sixth-round stoppage to Marquez, against whom Pacquiao is 2-1-1, before winning a unanimous decision over Brandon Rios in his most recent fight in November.

"I don't know that I now have a psychological advantage going into the fight, but I just honestly feel that I have to prove to the fans, once again, that I won the first fight," said Bradley. "I have to definitely prove it this time around. I have to prove that, without a doubt, that I won this fight coming up on April 12."

The WBO has declared that the winner of Bradley-Pacquiao II must face that between Marquez and Mike Alvarado, who will fight on May 17.
