WBO beltholder Sergey Kovalev and challenger Cedric Agnew weighed 174.3, and, 174.4, respectively, at Friday's weigh-in for Saturday night's light heavyweight clash at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Agnew's initial weight was 175.8 when he first stepped onto the scale, but the unbeaten 27-year-old successfully lost the poundage after being given 45 minutes to do so.

Kovalev (23-0-1, 21 knockouts), who turns 31 on April 2, was last in the ring for November's second round knockout of Ismayl Sillakh, while Agnew (26-0, 13 KOs) will be ending a nearly one year ring absence after last April's unanimous decision over Yusaf Mack.

For the co-feature, junior welterweights Karim Mayfield (18-0, 11 KOs) and Thomas Dulorme (20-1, 14 KOs) weighed 139.8 and 139.6, respectively.

In the staredown following the weigh-in, close-quarters trash talk turned into a brawl as Mayfield and Dulorme began choking each other. Both camps rushed in to break up the fight.

Mayfield, 33, will be in his second bout since his unanimous decision win over Mauricio Herrera, and was last in the ring for September's eighth-round knockout of Christopher Fernandez.

Dulorme, 24, has won four straight fights, two by stoppage, since being knocked out by Luis Carlos Abregu in October 2012. He was lst in the ring for an eight-round unanimous decision over Hector Velazquez in November.
