British promoter Frank Warren has apparently jumped the gun in announcing that Tyson Fury will face Dereck Chisora in an all-British WBO eliminator clash on July 26 because organization President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel claims he still has not received the paperwork for "an official request."

"Frank Warren talked to me last week about the possibility of requesting sanction from the WBO," said Valcarcel. "He wants us to consider that fight as a WBO eliminator for the heavyweight title but we don't have anything officially yet."

Per the Associated Press, Warren, of Queensberry Promotions, told the world on his Twitter account (@frankwarren_tv) that Fury-Chisora had been finalized for the right to face RING, IBF WBA and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko but Valcarcel said the promoter was acting prematurely after they spoke last week.

"Once we have an official request, then it will take a week or two weeks to make a decision. When they send that official request, then we will send that to our committee, so there is nothing official. It was just a conversation," said Valcarcel, referring to a dialogue in Budapest, Hungary.

"They have to send in that request and then we have to consider it. Frank talked to me and said that he would request that the title be an eliminator but they have not done that yet officially. So as of now, that fight is only for Chisora's WBO International heavyweight title."

Valcarcel did not speculate on the likelihood of Fury-Chisora being approved.

The bout, scheduled to take place at Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, is a rematch of a unanimous decision for Fury (22-0, 16 knockouts) over Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) in July 2011.

Fury is 25, and Chisora, 30.

Since losing to Fury, Chisora has gone 6-3 with four knockouts, falling to Robert Helenius and Vitali Klitschko by split and unanimous decisions and being stopped in the fifth round by David Haye.

Chisora has won five consecutive bouts, four by stoppage, and is coming off last month's unanimous decision over Kevin Johnson.

Fury scored four knockdowns during last month's fourth-round stoppage of Joey Abell that followed a seventh-round knockout of former RING cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham, who dropped Fury in the second round of their fight last April.
