Charlo, Spence, Fontanez, Warren weigh in

Houston junior middleweight Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo weighed 153.8 compared to 151.6 for New York City southpaw Jose Angel “Silver Boy” Rodriguez in advance of their battle in Monday’s latest edition of Golden Boy Live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla.

Charlo, who is just 23, is 21-0 with 10 knockouts, and Rodriguez, 34, is 17-2-1 with two knockouts.

For a junior welterweight bout, Puerto Rico’s Jeffrey Fontanez (12-0, 9 KOs) was at 138 pounds compared to 136 for Mexico’s Gerardo Zayas (20-21-2, 12 KOs), welterweights Errol Spence Jr. (8-0, 7 KOs) of Desoto, Texas, and Emmanuel Lartey (16-0, 8 KOs) of Brooklyn, were 146.8, and, 147, respectively, and featherweights Rau’shee Warren (15-0, 3 KOs), of Cincinnati and Jhon Molina (30-24-3, 19 KOs) of Miami weighed in at 122.8 and 123.8.

For other bouts, Tampa welterweight Willie Jones (2-0, 1 KO) and Miami rival Jose Angel Segura (2-4-2, 1 KO) were at 145.8 and 147.8, and in his professional debut, Martin Lagunas, of Ruskin, Fla., and Fort Lauderdale’s Larry Yanez (3-6-2) were 142.2 and 144.6.
