There was a little movement in THE RING’s cruiserweight and strawweight divisional rankings, but all in all, it was a quiet weekend of boxing.

At cruiserweight, Ilunga “Junior” Makabu stopped fellow once-beaten standout Eric Fields in five. Makabu beat unbeaten contender Dmytro Kucker in July and got back in the ring right away. Makuba will move up in the ratings one spot and flip flop with Firat Arslan. Makuba now No. 8; Arslan Firat now No. 9.

At junior lightweight, Miguel Berchelt scored a TKO in the fifth over former featherweight beltholder Cristobal Cruz. No changes in the rankings.

At junior flyweight, WBC titleholder Adrian Hernandez scored a fourth-round stoppage over Atsushi Kakutani. Felix Alvarado scored a third-round stoppage over journeyman Jose Aguilar.  Strawweight contender Nkosinathi Joyi stopped Benezer Alolod in nine rounds in a 108-pound bout. No changes.

At strawweight, No. 1-rated Wanheng Menayothin won a near shut out over Juma Iwahashi. With Joyi moving to the 108-pound division, he will be dropped from the stawweight ratings with everyone else movining up one spot and Japanese national champion Ryuli Hara entering at No. 10.
