Light heavyweight titleholder Nathan Cleverly, of Wales, will defend his WBO belt against Ryan Coyne, of St. Louis, Mo., in a clash of unbeatens as part of a Showtime-televised championship quadrupleheader from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Shaefer confirmed on Monday.

The match up between Cleverly (24-0, 11 knockouts), who is 25, and the southpaw Coyne (21-0, 9 KOs), who is 30, still is subject to approval from the WBO, according to Cleverly’s promoter Frank Warren.

Cleverly’s second-ever appearance on American soil will be headlined by a bout featuring WBC junior featherweight beltholder Abner Mares (24-0-1, 13 KOs) and rising WBA bantamweight titleholder Anselmo Moreno (33-1, 12 KOs), owner of a 27-bout winning streak that includes 10 knockouts.

In addition to Mares-Moreno, Mexican junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo (20-2, 17 KOs), currently residing in Coachella, Calif., will return to the ring against Raul Casarez (19-2, 9 KOs), of Edinburg, Texas.

Also on the card against an opponent to be determined will be IBF bantamweight titleholder Leo Santa Cruz (21-0-1, 11 KOs), who scored a sixth-round TKO over Morel, stopping the veteran for the first time in his career on Sept. 15.

Cleverly’s United States debut was an eight-round unanimous decision over Antonio Baker at The Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas in April of 2008
