Unbeaten power-punching Dominican Javier Fortuna is slated to face the winner of the Celestino Caballero-Mikey Garcia WBA featherweight title bout, a source close to Sampson Lewkowicz told RingTV.com.

Lewkowicz, a promoter who also advises Fortuna (19-0, 14 knockouts), won the purse bid for the WBA mandatory fight and plans to stage the fight in Panama this summer.

Top Rank promotes Garcia, rated No. 5 by THE RING, but was outbid by Sampson Boxing, who bid $440,000 to stage the title fight. Caballero, a native of Panama, is rated No. 9 by the magazine.

The tentative plan is to have Fortuna, 22, face-off against the new WBA Champion “immediately after.” The 22-year-old Fortuna knocked out the previously-undefeated Yuandale Evans in one round on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights in late April.
