Before his older brother Lamont takes center stage to challenge WBA/IBF 140-pound titleholder Amir Khan, lightweight standout Anthony Peterson will face fellow Washingtonian, Daniel Attah, on the Dec. 10 undercard.

The 26-year-old Antony Peterson (30-1, 20 KOs) will enter the ring for the first time since suffering his lone defeat by a seventh-round disqualification against WBA lightweight beltholder Brandon Rios last June. Peterson was disqualified for throwing too many low blows.

“I plan on getting back into the ring and winning again, because all roads lead to Brandon Rios. It hurts me every day to know that I didn’t perform. That’s why I’m in here sweating like a pig,” said Peterson.

“It’s a blessing to be fighting in front of my hometown crowd. My skill is there, my foundation is there, the coach is there, the team. Now, I just need to focus. It’s all about me, and that’s it.”

A Nigerian southpaw, Attah (26-8-1, 9 KOs) was last seen in October against Roman “Rocky” Martinez (25-1-1, 16 KOs) of Puerto Rico, who stopped him in the sixth round.
