UFC CEO says inaugural event will not compete with Pacquiao-Marquez III

UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta told The Las Vegas Sun that his inaugural event on Fox Sports will not compete directly against the third Manny PacquiaoJuan Manuel Marquez fight on HBO Pay-Per-View even though both events will air on the evening of Nov. 12.

Fertitta said the Fox card will begin at 6 p.m., feature only two fights and last only about an hour. The televised portion of the Pacquiao-Marquez card also will begin at 6 but the main event will take place much later. enter the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"We’ll be out of there before Pacquiao even walks to the ring. This is going to be a perfect night for any fight fan," said Fertitta. "Get together with your friends, watch two big fights in the UFC and then change the channel to ride into the Pacquiao pay-per-view."

The Ultimate Fight Championship (UFC) and Fox Sports Media Group  announced on Thursday a multi-year deal



Pacquiao-Marquez is at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
