WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Yusaf Mack outpointed Otis Griffin in a 12-round light heavyweight title eliminator Friday at the Warner Center Marriott.

Mack (29-3-2, 17 knockouts) controlled a tactical fight from beginning to end but had to settle for a split decision, winning by scores of 119-109, 116-111 and 113-114.

Mack put Griffin (23-7-2, 9 KOs) down in the final round.

The fight was an IBF eliminator. Tavoris Cloud holds the sanctioning body’s 175-pound title.

In the co-featured bout, Raymundo Beltran, Manny Pacquiao’s main sparring partner, stopped a game Carlos Vinan (10-9-4, 2 KOs) after seven rounds. Vinan was competitive for much of the lightweight bout but Beltran (24-4, 16 KOs) ultimately broke him down. Vinan couldn’t come out for the eighth round.
