Winky Wright reportedly injured his hand in training and pulled out of his fight against Matthew Macklin on the Erik Morales-Marcos Maindana undercard April 9 in Las Vegas.

Wright was returning from a two-year layoff. The former junior middleweight titleholder lost to Bernard Hopkins and Paul Williams in his most-recent fights, in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

It’s not clear whether Macklin will fight someone else on the card.
